The Lion, the Witch, and the Box Office

The next installment in 'The Chronicles of Narnia goes to Hollywood' has been nearly confirmed - The Magician's Nephew is next!

Apparently The Magician's Nephew is the second most popular in the series of books, explaining the origins of the lamppost and the wardrobe.

Personally, I did enjoy this book almost as much as The LWW and The VDT.

What is your favorite book in the series?

  1. My daughter has spurred me into reading the series I neglected in my youth. I was a tolkien fan, through and through. (anyone feel like conversing in Sindarin?) but my daughter was so ravenously in love with the first movie, that she made me read her the books. We are halfway through the sixth (in original publishing order, The Magians Nephew) So far, my favorite has been The Silver Chair, for one reason and one reason only,....Puddleglum. Forcing me to read Narnia,...yet another of the countless ways my daughter has been a blessing to me. :)

  3. My favorite is by far, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader! I was greatly disappointed by the movie though...

  5. Just watched it last night (my wonderful wife got it for me for our anniversary)

I thought it was good, however it did bug me a bit how it re-ordered events from the book. And how they jumped so quickly from island/event to the next. But obviously the had to cram it all into 2 hrs...

Looking forward to the next one!
